About Elemental Focus

Who I am
My name is Aaron Bobrink and I’m officially no longer a freelance web designer. As of April 16, 2007, I started my new position at UC Davis as a web programmer. I will continue to write on Elemental Focus simply because I enjoy doing it.
I have over five years of technology experience in various industries, including banking, governmental entities, and agriculture. My background includes work in website design and management, network administration, and network security.
I enjoy learning about all things internet (then sharing), skiing (the snow variety), and spending time with my beautiful wife.
What I do
During the day I can be found at UC Davis doing web programming. I also do everything else that comes with the territory. I do a little programming, a little database design, and some graphic artistry.
Elemental Focus Web Design was created in 2006 as a way for me to get more involved in the web design world. I want to add my knowledge to the community, take some knowledge away, and meet some of the very cool design people in the process.
How I do What I do
I make web sites designed for the people who use them. I like to make unobtrusive and extremely functional web sites. I also like to make them pretty. When you put both together, you get a great web site by a great designer (at least in my opinion).
My web sites are created specifically to be:
- Easy
- Intuitive
- And purposeful
A good design isn’t just a pretty design. A good design is both useful and appealing in a way that makes sense to the users. That’s what I’m all about.
Why I do What I do
It’s fun. And I love it.
Not much more to say about that.
